Carol Zografos Fiber Art

Busy, busy!  I am not turning out much, as I am working on a big project that I started near the end of March.  It seems it is all I worked on in April, except for creatively patching some of my jeans.  The big project is my largest-yet Kawandi style, with Sashiko and antique/vintage/second-hand fabrics and scraps.    In May, however, I took a little time to make some quilted art post cards.  Three of them, I used as demonstration pieces in a class I taught.  So, I finished them and made one more.  Now, back to my hand-stitching on my Kawandi style quilt.

Broad Spectrum IV: Evolutions is an art quilt exhibit, that has been juried by Fuzzy Mall, for the Montana/Idaho Region of SAQA.  Fuzzy Mall has selected 38 quilts that will be exhibited at select art galleries through 2028.  The exhibit opens at the Brigham City Museum of Art and Science, in Brigham City, UT, on June 20, 2026. This is my piece, that will be in the exhibit.  I don't have a fancy cell phone, and people have been asking me for a look at a photo of this art quilt.  I decided it is worth putting up a separate blog post just for it.  I know all the art quilts in the exhibit are phenomenal, so I am hoping people will take time to go to Brigham City or Idaho Falls, this year, to enjoy it.  The Brigham City exhibit closes on September 26, 2026, then it moves to the Willard Art Center in Idaho Falls.
